State Rep. Del Taylor was elected as a Democrat to his first two-year term in November 2022, representing St. Louis City (District 84) in the Missouri House of Representatives.

Taylor serves as the ranking member of both the Ways and Means Committee and the Subcommittee on Appropriations for Agriculture, Conservation, Natural Resources, and Economic Development. He also serves on the Budget and Utilities Committees.

Prior to his legislative duties, Rep. Taylor worked 25+ years as an international business consultant helping global corporations improve their supply chains and financial systems.

After attending St. Louis University High School, Rep. Taylor graduated from Washington University in St. Louis with a degree in Chemical Engineering. He worked for 1 year with the local telephone company and 3 years building water treatment equipment. Rep Taylor then obtained his MBA from Kellogg GSM with one semester in Bangkok Thailand studying international business.

He is a member of the National Black MBA Association, the National Society of Black Engineers and a lifetime member of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity Inc.

Rep. Taylor was born and raised in the West End neighborhood in St. Louis City. Through all of his global travels, Del proudly calls St. Louis his Home, Sweet Home.
