
Representative Marty Joe Murray was elected in 2024 to represent part of St. Louis City (District 078) in the Missouri House of Representatives as a Democrat. Murray serves on the committees on Administration & Accounts, Budget, and Financial Institutions, as well as the Subcommittee on Appropriations for General Administration.
Rep. Murray earned a Bachelor of Science degree in business management as a first-generation graduate from Southern Illinois University Carbondale in 2011. In 2015, he was the youngest person ever enrolled in the Executive MBA program at the University of Missouri, where he received his master’s in business administration.
After college, Rep. Murray led a team of sales associates as a general manager, which led to his current career in corporate America. He has worked for companies within the Fortune 500 as a Senior Project Manager.
Outside of legislative duties, Rep. Murray served as a committeeman representing Missouri’s 5th Senatorial District and St. Louis’ 7th Ward with the Missouri Democratic Party. He also serves on the Board of Directors for Peter & Paul Community Services and attends Central Baptist Church. He continues to dedicate his life to his community.
Rep. Murray is married to his high school sweetheart, Danielle, and is a doting father to an amazing 3-year-old.
