SAFEGUARDING CIVIL RIGHTS

Regardless of race, religion, creed, gender, disability, sexual orientation, ancestry, or national origin — anyone who lives in the Show-Me State is a Missourian, and all citizens of the United States are entitled to the rights enshrined in the U.S. Constitution. While our country and our state have come a long way in recognizing and protecting the civil rights of all citizens, there is still much work to be done.

Missouri Democrats have filed legislation to ensure our rights are protected, and we will fight against any bills that reek of discrimination. That means fighting against racism, sexism, and discrimination against the LGBTQ community. But it also means ensuring that the disabled have their rights protected, and that each person receives their day in court. Our caucus believes in the constitutional rights of all Missourians and we're working to ensure future generations have those rights too.
