Stephanie Boykin

District 70

Representative Stephanie Boykin, a Democrat, represents parts of St. Louis County (District 70) in the Missouri House of Representatives. She was elected to her first two-year term in November 2024.

Boykin grew up in the Walnut Park neighborhood of North St. Louis City. She attended St. Louis Public Schools and earned a bachelor’s degree from Lincoln University, followed by a master’s degree from the University of Missouri-Columbia.

A veteran of the U.S. Air Force, Boykin served honorably for 40 years and retired as a lieutenant colonel in 2022. She is also a certified teacher who previously taught language arts in the Columbia and St. Louis school districts.

Her public service includes appointments by the governor to the Citizen’s Advisory Committee on Corrections and work as a civil rights investigator for the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, the Department of Housing and Urban Development, the U.S. Postal Service, and the City of St. Louis Civil Rights Enforcement Agency.

In addition to her legislative duties, Boykin is active in her community. She is a member of the Hazelwood School District Family Coalition and the Hazelwood Cultural Enrichment Commission. She remains connected to her military roots as a member of VFW Post 2365, where she serves as post adjutant. She is also an active member of both The American Legion and American Veterans.
